Our story
Honest Work, Every Time
Campus Automotive has been fixing cars in Merced for decades, and Louie and the team have built the shop on one simple rule: never sell a customer something they do not need. Customers tell us again and again about the times we sent them elsewhere, waived a small repair, or explained that a job was better handled at the dealer, even when we could have taken the money ourselves.
That same honesty shows up in the work itself. Whether it is a full diagnostic after a warning light comes on or a quick alternator swap that gets you back on the road the same day, we treat every car like it is our own.
We are proud to be part of this community. Our customers stick with us for years, some for decades, because they know they will get a fair price and a straight answer every time they walk through the door.
- Honest, no-upsell diagnoses
- Family-owned and community-minded
- Same-day turnaround on many repairs
- Customers who have stayed with us for decades
What customers say
“I've been going to Louie at Campus Automotive for close to 20 years now. He could've easily taken advantage of the situation, but he didn't, and he was right. That's the kind of place this is. Honest, straightforward, no games. If you're looking for a mechanic you can trust, someone who's going to treat you right and not take advantage, I highly recommend Campus Automotive.”
“Honest, not over-priced. Won't sit there and nickel and dime you, they've actually turned me away before because nothing was actually wrong like I'd thought. I've stayed with them for a few years now and no plans on leaving!”
“My alternator stopped working and the dashboard was lit up like a Christmas tree. The guys had the car ready the next day, great job. So if you're looking for a good auto mechanic, Campus Automotive is the best.”
